INTRODUCTION

Amongst our CleverGoose users we have an amazing organisation who are a forward-thinking group of coffee locations called SOHO Coffee & Euphorium. They are super cool, fast paced and pretty determined about the impact they want to have in the world.

They made it their mission to empower their managers by giving them the skills and the tools they need to navigate day to day management in an epic way.

In order to deliver on that mission, they had to decide about the type of support they give to their managers who work out in their Coffee operations.

CHALLENGE

Before implementing CleverGoose there were several areas they really wanted to pay attention to:

Inconsistent Employee Management - Managing employees could be open to inconsistency when different and often new managers are using different processes and levels of experience to handle things.

Time Consuming preparation for some of the trickier management conversations - The teams were worried that sometimes things didn’t get tackled when they should be because the manager may feel nervous about what to specifically say or do. This could result in issues being left rather than dealt with which, always causes further problems in the end.

Lack of support for people who have management responsibility - When you empower managers to take responsibility there can sometimes be a lack of support which leaves them feeling like they have been dumped into the deep end without support.

SOLUTION

Their operational and human resources team engaged with CleverGoose and we rolled out our tool to anyone who directly manages someone in their workforce.

Every user had the chance to take part in an online demo delivered by the CleverGoose team and supported by their HR and operational leaders. Users were able to ask any questions they needed before we went live.

Since CleverGoose has been implemented we have had feedback about how supported the teams feel and how easy is has been to navigate gnarly HR processes by simply taking one step at a time using CleverGoose.

The operational teams can be proactive about the management activities that happen across their operation and confident that they are taking legally compliant steps to resolve any issues.

CleverGoose even flags anything that could cause a potential problem so that managers and HR can be aware of how to handle tricky circumstances.
